OCZ solid state drives now available at BT Business Direct
Released on: January 13, 2011, 10:20 am Solid state drives (SSDs) from computer hardware manufacturer OCZ Technology are now available at BT Business Direct. The new Synapse Cache SSD, released late 2011, can add speed and higher performance to even older model PCs and so is gaining the most interest on a wide consumer market right now. OCZ Technology releases new high-tech SSDs on regular bases, driving the innovation into every angle of SSD technology. This includes the new Synapse Cache series that enable any computer to enjoy the increased performance of SSD. This technology is independent from hardware, unlike others and can be used on any modern platform. A standard SSD + HDD setup will make one program fast and the other slow, load one game quickly but the other lags off the scale. The OCZ Synapse cache SSD will integrate with the hard drive becoming one storage solution and dynamically manage the entire storage capacity of the hard drive. It is the typical example of ‘Best of Both World’; full capacity and full performance. The Dataplex software makes the integration of SSD and HDD possible. The SSD stores‘hot’ data (files that are accessed often) on the high-speed SSD, while ‘cold’ data (files that are less-frequently accessed) are stored on the HDD. Once you have booted your PC with the OCZ Synapse SSD installed, it will start cache immediately. And after two or three reboots the fast responsiveness of the computer will start improving dramatically and the more it is used, the faster it will become.
