NORTH CAROLINA (AND VICINITY) CHRISTIAN FAMILIES SOUGHT TO HOST AND ADOPT RUSSIAN ORPHANS

The Russian Orphan Lighthouse Project, a North Carolina ministry based in Belmont, NC in cooperation with Rivers of Living Water Church of God in Fayetteville, NC and International Adoption Guides, LLC, is bringing the orphans pictured below to the Fayetteville, NC area Oct 29-November 7, 2004. We are in search of host families interested to host the orphans, who have a serious mindset towards international adoption. The children are ages 8-14 yrs old.

Started more than 6 years ago, The Lighthouse Project, has brought more than 100 Russian orphans to the US, resulting in most of the children being adopted. The children, who speak no English, are accompanied by an orphanage official and a translator. Daily vacation bible school and other activities are planned for the group. There is a $600 fee per child hosted to partially cover the children's transportation expenses. One parent must agree to be at home full-time during the 10 day visit. Families living in other parts of the US are welcome to host if they are willing to come to the Fayetteville area and stay in a motel or be hosted by Lighthouse Project members.

The group is also seeking donations for the orphans, from cold medicine and toothbrushes to quilts, sweaters, coats, shoes, and gently used suitcases. Financial aid is also appreciated and will be donated back to the orphanages.

We would very much appreciate it if you would share our program's need for more host families as well as humanitarian aid with your family, friends church and community.
