The much-loved Icelandic four-piece play three nights at south London’s prime music venue

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Most easily recognized from their musical appearances on adverts, atmospheric swells of music in any reality TV show, and as the underpinning for half the nature programmes on television, Sigur Ros remind the world they are a band with three gigs in London this March.

The four-piece hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland, will be playing three nights at London's Brixton Academy as part of a European tour, on March 7th, 8th and 9th.

Led by singer Jonsi Birgisson, recently back from solo project Sine and Moon, and renowned for their wonderfully atmospheric music, the band are being welcomed back with open arms.

Fans can expect sweeping and classically influenced post-rock and atmospheric ambient music from their back catalogue of greatest hits as well as new tracks from their latest album, Valtari.

In support there's Blanck Mass, the solo project of young British musician Benjamin John Power, whose music featured in the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony.
