Press Release Body = DATELINE: April 11, 2005, St. Petersburg, Florida – Advanced Energy Research Corporation today announced the signing of a letter of intent to form a joint venture to develop and market TrueFuel™ in Canada. TrueFuel is AERC’s hydrogen-rich syngas. “The more we look at the Canadian market, the more you see
opportunities for TrueFuel, from providing power in remote locations to destroying municipal solid waste and providing electricity for Canada’s many islands. We also expect Canadian experience and technical expertise in alterative energy to be most useful to AERC.”

Under the terms of the joint venture, AERC’s Canadian partner will provide certain research and development assistance in Canada and receive rights to AERC’s technology along with technical and marketing assistance. A new company will be formed in Canada for the joint venture. AERC expects to develop other countries in
this manner.

Advanced Energy Research Corporation develops and makes TrueFuel, a hydrogen-rich syngas. TrueFuel is ideal for gas turbines, distributed power, and combined heat and power (CHP) applications.
