Industry =

Press Release Summary = SPENCER, VA, April 26 – PBS television star Ken Farmer will be a celebrity appraiser at the
Spencer Penn School Antique & Collectible Fair, which will be held May 27 – 29 in Spencer, Virginia.

Press Release Body = Farmer has been a regular appraiser on the Antiques Roadshow programming since 1995, and has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. His expertise in consulting with collectors,
museums and institutions regarding the appraisal and sale of antiques is recognized nationwide. “Having Mr. Farmer as an integral part of the Antique Fair will create a special opportunity for this community,” said Mary Jordan, President Spencer Penn School Preservation Organization. “Money raised at the event will be used for school restoration and a community
library, so we want everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities.” The Spencer Penn School was closed in 2004, due to consolidation of educational facilities. Community leaders formed the Spencer Penn School Preservation Organization to
purchase the building, with a goal of restoring it to its original stature as built in 1927. Antique dealers from as far away as Pennsylvania and Tennessee are committed to the event,
with over 30 local antique dealers expected.

Mr. Farmer will be available on Friday, May 27, from 1 – 4 pm. Area media who wish to schedule interviews should contact Ms. Hensley to make arrangements.
