Tickets are now on sale for the annual celebration of sporting ineptitude, reports LondonTown.com

LONDON, July 08, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The Chap Olympiad returns to London on the 12th July 2014, celebrating its 10th anniversary. Orchestrated by The Chap magazine, the annual event is not so much a sporting occasion, more a celebration of buffoonery and ineptitude. Tickets are on sale now and always sell out prior to the event so be sure to snap yours up now. For those also looking to book a London hotel, visit LondonTown.com where a great selection for all budgets can be found.

Taking place at Bedford Square Gardens, one of the best preserved set pieces of Georgian architecture in London, the distinguished gathering invites members of the public to take part in a number of zany showdowns such as Umbrella Jousting, using bicycles and brollies instead of horses and lances; and Tug of Hair, in which a lengthy handlebar moustache is used in place of a rope. Designed to separate the chaps from the cads, anyone can compete to win the bronze, silver and gold cravats. Guests are advised to wear elegant finery, period military wear, formal wear or dandy wear - strictly no sportswear (except cricket whites), denim or sneakers.

Further to the 'sporting' events, there will also be sandwiches and Pimm's by the bucket load. Tickets are £20 for the day or £35 for the day and entry to the evening Blitz Party. For more information visit LondonTown.com.
