Long Beach, CA, December 11, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The saxophonist and music arranger known as Jazz Hamilton has released his latest LP record, “Within Jazz and Romance.” The LP is composed of 11 original arrangements by Hamilton for an approximate total listening time of 45 minutes. It has been published on the Akustik record label as an independent release without the support of the corporate music industry. Widely varied, expertly and colorfully arranged, and showcasing Jazz Hamilton's stunning, unparalleled expertise with the saxophone, “Within Jazz and Romance” is one of the premier contemporary jazz records of 2014.

Jazz Hamilton cites as main artistic influences the genres entire of classical, jazz and Latin music, as well as the work of such legends as Marcel Mule, Sigurd Rascher, Coleman Hawkins, Paul Desmond, and Alfred Gallodoro. Fans of the above names will likewise hear similarities in terms of expertise and creativity in the exquisite playing and arrangements contained in Hamilton's own “Within Jazz and Romance.”

Asked to comment on the themes of his new record, Hamilton writes, “Romance is the main ingredient in a love relationship. Music is the universal language where emotions and memories are created. Music is also the way to tell a story without using a single word. Come with me in a journey
to the other end of the rainbow. Let's make music and love, not war.”

As for the title of his latest LP, he promises: “I will always be with you, 'Within Jazz and Romance.'”

Perhaps most importantly with regard to Hamilton's instrumentation on the LP, “Within Jazz and Romance” exhibits the virtuoso playing his very own, self-designed Revolution 65 Saxophone, complete with hand-fashioned ebony mouthpiece. His current official bio explains further:

“In 2011 Hamilton took a break from long tours to dedicate more time to the research, design and development of his own brand of professional saxophones. After two years of hard work, the Revolution 65 Saxophone was born. The instrument has enjoyed a very welcome reception in the professional field by saxophonists all over the world. During that time he also designed an ebony wood mouthpiece that is hand-carved by master craftsmen, especially made for the musician looking for the unique warm, full and organic sound that only hardwood can offer.”

Jazz Hamilton was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He began his professional music career at the age of 14 with the Caguas Jazz Workshop under the direction of Andres “Maco” Torres, featuring classical saxophone recitals for Puerto Rico's “Instituto de Cultura.” He later studied at Connecticut's renowned Conservatory of Music, where he majored in music performance under the tutelage of famous jazz Professor, Jackie Mclean.

He has performed with Red Rodney, el Maestro Tito Puente, and Giovanni Hidalgo, as well as with international artists such as Sammy Davis, Jr., Hilton Ruiz, and Jose Jose, among others. He has served as musical director for Marvin Santiago, Domingo Quiñones and Andy Montañez et al, and has performed solo in France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Central and South America, the Caribbean, throughout the United States, Canada, and in Mexico.

Eminent music engineer Bob Kats has said of Hamilton's playing, “Saxophonists be aware, this is the way it should be played.”

“Within Jazz and Romance” by Jazz Hamilton is available online worldwide. Fellow saxophonists should pay special attention to the warm, natural sound of his Revolution 65 instrument, showcased for the first time on this record.
