The idea was borne from the longtime friendship of the presidents of both companies, Maureen Brooks and Ross Tannenbaum. The two enjoyed a working relationship that
spanned twenty years before deciding to introduce Hire Sports Speakers together.

Maureen Brooks, President of Brooks International (www.brooksinternational.com), explained the combination of the two groups as synergistic. “Over the last twenty
years, we’ve seen sports grow to an increasingly large part of our business. It only seemed natural to have a separate division devoted to athletes, coaches and other sports personalities.”

Tannenbaum said that the combination of sports appearances and sports items was natural. ‘Sports personalities can bring a level of excitement to an event that you can’t get otherwise. Everybody loves to meet their hero, and it’s even better if they can bring home an autograph, a game ball, or even a framed photo of their favorite athlete.”

Higher Sports Speakers, which went live on Monday, May 2, has already seen large numbers of sports appearance inquiries. Brooks was excited about the project going
forward. “We’ve already seen business from existing clients that are seeing us in a new light, as well as groups that hadn’t even heard of us before. They’re saying
that it’s a great resource for meeting and conference planners.”
