Press Release

Fenton, MO— Rocks will tremble and mud will fly for the sake of a good cause this summer. The Midwest Jeep Thing is hosting their 8th annual Jeep Show, Saturday, June 11th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Support Dogs, a national not-for-profit
organization aimed at training dogs for those with handicaps and providing therapy. Events such as the Rate of Travel Index (RTI) ramp, tire bowling, reverse steering and others will take place at the Stratford Bar and Grill located in Fenton, Missouri. Jeeps ranging from the old FSJs, CJs and YJs, to newer TJs, XJs and Grand Cherokees will compete for best in show in their various classes. Even the dirtiest Jeep will cruise away a winner. Raffle prizes and show awards will be given away at 4:00 P.M. The Midwest Jeep Thing is an organization of Jeep enthusiasts who have banded together in an effort to promote ecology, community involvement and friendly use of the great outdoors. With just over 300 of members, the club has been growing at an exponential rate. Trail runs are always on members’ minds, but highway cleanups take place, car washes, blood drives and even Boy and Girl Scouts of America have hosted the MWJT recently. Expectations are mounting for this year’s show; Nelly’s tricked out Jeep made it last year, and Beaufoot, a Jeep owned by Beau Vighn of 93.7 the Bull will be in attendance. The club’s sponsors Axle Boy, Reuthers Jeep, Rockport Off Road Park, and
others are bringing out their respective product or Jeeps to make a dent in the off-road market.
