the acquisition of Securix Australia’s IT security business.
The acquisition
includes the staff and business assets of Securix Australia Pty
Ltd, a subsidiary of
Securix Corporation Limited, a company listed on the Australian
Stock Exchange
(ASX).
Securix is a
leading provider of Managed Security Services, Security Solutions
and
related Professional Services. Securix was one of the first entrants
in the
Information Security industry and since its establishment in 1993,
has developed
considerable intellectual property relating to information security
and managed data
services.
With an established
customer base, Securix has a proven track record of delivering
IT security solutions, including the management and monitoring of
perimeter security
solutions, content filtering solutions, and electronic intrusion
detection and
prevention systems for networks, as well as the provision of professional
services
such as network security reviews and vulnerability assessments.
In making this
announcement, Adrian Bogatez, Managing Director and CEO of the
Classic Blue Group said: “This acquisition further strengthens

of Classic Blue’s traditional disaster recovery, business
continuity, and hosting
services available in Australia since 1996, with Securix’
core skill sets in IT
security, will provide a very attractive option to address the full
spectrum of risk

position and blue-chip client base in combination with Securix’
skill set and their
own established client base will create a new leader in the Australian
IT security
