Press Release Body = PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 15, 2005 – Values of America Company, the publisher of the new book, “Quips, Quotes & Oats: Smarty Jones Talks,” has lent its support to Alex’s Lemonade Stand—the charity benefiting childhood cancer
research.

With a donation of 160 copies, book sale proceeds will reach $1,600 to aid the Foundation started by young Alexandra Scott, who lost her life to cancer last August at the age of eight. At the Belmont Stakes, “Quips, Quotes & Oats” was a part of the two Alex’s Lemonade Stands that raised $29,000. Nationwide, the weekend of June 10-12 generated one million dollars from 1,000 Lemonade Stands.

As a four-year-old, Alexandra Scott had a dream to find a cure for all those kids with cancer. She started selling lemonade in her suburban Philadelphia neighborhood to help others in need. She raised $2,000 in the first year. Her determination,
vision, and strength captured the attention of America, in particular, a group of Philadelphians, who owned the racehorse Afleet Alex. This connection has moved Alex’s Lemonade Stand to the forefront of raising money for pediatric cancer research.

Liz and Jay Scott, the parents of Alexandra Scott, now oversee a powerful organization that benefits the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and many other
deserving charities. They are carrying on the mission of their daughter, who was driven to establish “her hospital.”

The Scott family is most appreciative of the community involvement during the National Alex’s Lemonade Stand Weekend. Liz Scott noted to Values of America Company, “Thank you so much for your generous support. It was a great weekend; thank you for being a part of it.”

Values of America Company will also donate 10% of the sales of “Quips, Quotes & Oats: Smarty Jones Talks” from the internet site www.horsewit.com
