Carpenter, Cammack & Associates, Inc. Announces New Senior Vice
President Paul H. Smits Promoted To Senior Vice President Of North
Carolina Commercial Insurance Agency
Charlotte, NC
– Chris Cammack, President of Carpenter, Cammack & Associates,
Inc., has announced that Paul H. Smits has been promoted to Senior
Vice President at the firm’s Charlotte office. In this position,
Smits will serve as sales manager and provide comprehensive insurance
plans for companies in all industries, including full-service carwashes.

vast experience and knowledge of this industry are a valuable asset
to Carpenter, Cammack & Associates,” said Cammack. “We
are pleased to have someone of Paul’s experience in this new
position to help lead our firm.”
About Paul H.
Smits:
Smits graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Accounting
from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He began his
19-year tenure in the insurance industry as a Medical Professional
Liability Underwriter with The St. Paul Insurance Company in 1986
located in Charlotte, NC. Smits then went on to several management
positions in the Commercial Insurance Division in St. Paul, MN.
He worked with a large regional agency in Charlotte as a top producer
before joining Carpenter, Cammack Associates, Inc. in 2002. Smits
holds designations as Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter
(CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in
Insurance Management (AIM). Smits is also a member of the Charlotte
chapter of CPCU. He resides in Charlotte with his wife, Lynn, and
their four children.
