Carpetright Selects New Integrated Retail Solution from K3 LandsteinarReleased on = August 23, 2005, 5:19 am Press Release Author = Samantha Spearing/K3 Landsteinar Industry = Software Press Release Summary = Carpetright, the UK's leading carpet and flooring specialist has commissioned a new retail system from Microsoft Business Solutions Partner K3 Landsteinar with an order totallying approximately £4 million. Press Release Body = Carpetright Plc, Europe's foremost specialist floor covering and carpet specialist have commissioned approximately £4 million worth of new retail systems from leading Microsoft Business Solutions Navision Partner K3 Landsteinar. The new system will handle all the in-store customer order processing, including quotes, orders, EPoS/EFT and stock management. The Navision solution will integrate into their central SAP system and will be implemented in over 400 stores throughout the UK. Carpetright started in November 1988 with 1 store, operating from a central warehouse in Barking. By February 1989 they had opened three more stores. Carpetright continued to grow and by March 2004 entered the FTSE 200 and were trading from over 360 stores with 3,488,000 sq ft of retail floor space in the UK alone.
