Web Stream Recorder Pro, as the name implies, is a network utility (Internet and LAN) that captures and records streams of video and audio data that is being transferred. The tool is frequently used to record live video and audio broadcasts,“teleseminars” or net radio shows. More over, the tool is simply indispensable for situations when the source URL is unknown or is being deliberately obfuscated.
Plus, the program can save video clips from the computer screen, as in web chats or MSN/Yahoo Messenger media.

Web Stream Recorder Pro is capable of capturing Windows Media Audio/Video streams (ASF, WMA, WMV, WMX, NSC, WAX) and Shoutcast streams (MP3 files). When recording a Shoutcast stream, it is cut into a set of different files, with each track saved as a separate file with the name taken from the track header. In a sense, Web Stream Recorder Pro works like a specialized download manager for multimedia files, allowing multiple downloads to proceed simultaneously.

Because Web Stream Recorder Pro comes with a task scheduler, the program can be used as a programmable “web recorder” and save important events that are being broadcasted while a person is away.
