Poindexter, and Charlotte Williams are featured in a statewide video for the NCCAT
(North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching). The video was created in
celebration of the 20th anniversary of NCCAT. For two decades, NCCAT has served

Poindexter, and Charlotte Williams are featured in a statewide video for the NCCAT
(North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching). The video was created in
celebration of the 20th anniversary of NCCAT. For two decades, NCCAT has served Paula Johnson is a second grade teacher at Pilot Elementary. Susan Poindexter, the 2004-2005 GCS Teacher of the year teaches second grade at Jefferson Elementary. Charlotte Williams teaches health to grades 6, 7, and 8 at John R. Kernodle Middle. The DVD also highlights the honorable Governor James B. Hunt. NCCAT is dedicated to advancing teaching as an art and profession. Located in
Cullowhee, NC near Western Carolina University, NCCAT was the vision of lifetime
educator Jean Powell. NCCAT is a national model of state-funded centers of its
kind. NCCAT has been featured in the New York Times and has a brand new location
located on Ocracoke Island. NCCAT provides residential seminars for the purpose of
renewing state teachers. This year over 5,000 teachers have enjoyed the NCCAT
