Press Release Body = Detroit, MI (November 1, 2005) - The Native Experience, publisher of a new line of urban centric genre books announced today its scheduled release of Black Chameleon Memoirs, a book that chronicles the notorious life of one of the most successful Black businessmen in America.

Most corporate executives follow a traditional path to success by graduating college and accepting an entry-level position in a major corporation, which may or may not lead them to prominence. This strategy may work for some, but not for Mico Brunson, who through fate and circumstances, was born poor and Black in a society that wasn't created for him or by him.

Black Chameleon Memoirs tells the gripping saga of how one of the most successful Black businessmen in America rose to prominence using criminal activity and murder while overcoming adversity and an abusive childhood.

Brunson's unorthodox approach to accomplishing his dream is fueled by his desire to succeed against all odds and the need to discount his mother's constant predictions of death and destitution.

After his father is gunned down in a street fight, the family is left penniless and Mico is left without a protective buffer from his abusive mother. He is forced to seek solace from one of the most notorious gangs in Detroit, which induces a whirlwind of criminal activity and destructive behavior.

Brunson's mother decides to move the family to the South in hopes to save her children from the mean streets of Detroit, but her strategy doesn't work. Her abusive nature and criminal mindset becomes deeply engrained in Brunson's psyche.

Ironically, the culmination of crime, murder, and abuse prepares Brunson for a successful career in corporate America.

Unlike other rags to riches stories, Black Chameleon Memoirs, reveals how 'you can take a brother out of the hood but not the hood out of the brother.' As Brunson’s corporate status grows, so does his street status.

This 'Boyz in the Hood' meets 'Wall Street' story will keep readers glued to the pages.
