Can Food Be Dangerous? Learn About Online Food Safety Training
New website uncovers the not-well-known world of food safety training.
INDIANA, Anyone can learn better food safety with online training, and it probably
wouldn't hurt for everyone to check out the basic ways to keep themselves safe from
food born illnesses. "Safety Training Programs" http://www.safetytrainingprogram.org
is a new website specialized in all kind of safety training. Sharon May, owner of
the site says "The people who benefit the most from learning food safety online
training are chefs, restaurant owners, and even restaurant servers should be aware
of basic food safety. Learning even the basic food safety online , many will be
surprised that most contamination of meat and poultry happens during slaughter from
contact with small amounts of intestinal contents." Contamination of fruits and
vegetables can be just as bad if the fruits and vegetables are washed or irrigated
with water that is contaminated with animal manure or even human sewage. Some types of Salmonella can infect a hen's ovary so that the internal contents of a normal
looking egg can be contaminated wit Salmonella even before the shell is formed.
Oysters and other filter feeding shellfish can concentrate the Vibrio bacteria that
are naturally present in sea water from microbes that are present in human sewage
dumped into the sea.

Those who work in restaurants that prep the food for the chef\'s to cook should
definitely learn food safety online before they start handling the food than humans
will eat eventually. Food that is contaminated after it reaches the restaurant can
be served and eating if handled correctly. Many bacterial microbes need to multiply
to a larger number before enough are present in the food to cause disease. Slightly
contaminated food that is allowed to sit in warm moist conditions can multiply from
one little bacterium into 17 million in less than 12 hours. So lightly contaminated
food left out overnight will be contaminated by the next day and highly infectious.
Food that is refrigerated promptly stops food contamination from multiplying. When
one studies food safety online they will learn that a single hamburger may contain
meat from hundreds of animals and a single glass of raw milk can contain milk from
hundreds of cows. Raw foods of animal origin are the most likely to be contaminate,
raw meat, poultry, eggs, and especially raw shellfish. Just plain washing will
decrease contamination but it does not eliminate them much.. Those who work in the
restaurant business whether it\'s fancy dining or fast food, everyone who handles
food for others to consume should learn how to handle it properly, from when they
receive it off the truck, to when it is put on the plate and served, learning food
safety online training will make everyone feel a whole lot safer.
