Inventions have been the staple of development around the world. People come up with all kinds of ideas to make our lives easier and to better mankind. Most of the major inventions of last century came from individuals, not corporations.
Inventors are people like you and me who come from all walks of life. Some are scientists, engineers and technical professionals who work for large companies. Most, however, are everyday people like electricians, sales people, nurses, retailers, business people and even kids who look at a situation and come up with a solution that they think works better.

These patents are granted for 14 years and protect only the appearance of the item. . Plant Patent: These are for an invented or discovered new plant variety that can be asexually reproduced. These are granted for a period of 20 years.
