Press Release Body = After the historic victory of Juan Manuel Gonzales \"Pedregá\" with the DS650 X quad at the Dakar Rally 2006, another team of riders prepare to face the desert and the dunes with this proven Bombardier ATV model.
Two Belgian pilots, Olivier Bolle and Arnaud Zannier will participate in the 18th edition of the NPO´s Rally Optic 2000 in Tunisia from the 7th to 17th of April both riding the DS650X. It is a 7 day consisting of 3 stages starting in Nice. The two riders that participated in last year's Rally Orpi Maroc plan to take on the notorious Dakar Rally in 2007. "The DS 650 X is the most suitable ATV for rallies like this" said Olivier.
This year the Tunisia Raid has been renamed "Tunisia Desert Tracking Raid" as the raid has progressed into a timed and navigation based-event. All participants including cars, motorcycles and quads will now be equipped with a tracking terminal, an electronic box transmitting position and speed by satellite and enabling telephone communication with headquarters. Optic 2000, the main sponsor in partnership with Esilor will provide children in southern Tunisia with spectacles free of charge. Thanks to their sponsorship, almost 3500 children have benefited allowing them to have normal schooling.
