East Meets West with Shi Studio Jewelry and Accessories

Press Release Summary = Asian influenced earring, pendant and belt buckle line
available in stores across Canada and online

Press Release Body = Victoria, BC

Just like Yin and Yang, amazing things can happen when opposites attract. Different
elements coming together in one powerful statement is all the rage this
spring/summer season, with a strong lean towards Asian-inspired wearables.

Leading the fashion parade is Shi Studio, with their earrings, pendants and belt
buckles a perfect fusion of soft, sensuous silk and cool, reflective glass. It's
Canadian-made and Asian-inspired wearable art that won't break the bank.

Shi means 'poem' in Chinese, and like a good poem, Shi Studio tells a story. It's
the creation of two Victoria-area women, accessories designer Honor Cienska and
glass artist Cory Judge. They had a simple idea - to meld their artistic concepts
into one, producing beautiful handcrafted jewelry from luscious Chinese silk
brocades, silver and glass.

That was one year ago. Since then, the company has grown dramatically. It's become
a full-time job for Cienska and Judge, and they employ a number of other local
female artisans. Shi Studio pieces are now available in nearly 30 stores right
across Canada, and you can find the gals showing off their stuff at local arts and
craft fairs.

The current Shi Studio product line includes earrings, pendants and belts (from $28
and up). Customers can choose what shape and size they'd like, even add in a silver
chain or leather belt to complete their favourite look.

Choosing the fabric is the most fun, especially for those shopaholics who can never
find what they're looking for. There is no lack of choice at Shi Studio. From
delicate cherry blossoms to the majestic dragon, all in a kaleidoscope of colour,
there are more than a hundred different silk textiles.

Shi Studio has also made it easy for customers to place orders through the internet.
shistudio.com has simple and clear instructions, complete with lovely photos of all
the products. Privacy is a priority, so all transactions are done through a secure
server.

Though Shi Studio has proven to be a local success story, Cienska and Judge are not
resting on their laurels. They are constantly creating new ideas and searching for
more ways to deliver wearable art. Who knows what they'll come up next? You can
bet it will be stunning.
