New Accelerated Reading Program Primed For Launch

Released on = March 27, 2006, 9:09 pm

Press Release Author = Quantum Ed Pte Ltd

Industry = Small Business

Press Release Summary = Not just speed reading. Anyone who has to keep up with
reports and books will be able to learn rapid reading strategies to be in touch with
the knowledge in their industry.

Press Release Body = FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Singapore)
A new program will be released soon to help individuals master their knowledge and
build expert content knowledge within a 7 to 21 day period. The reason for learning
this skill is simple - speed. With greater productivity, reading will become less
tedious and more functional. A recent informal survey revealed that readers often
buy books but never finish them, representing a waste of over 80% of the knowledge
available within the book. Most other readers never glean the important information
that is required of them. The truth is using this new approach, reading will become
much simpler.

Stuart Tan, a trainer in NLP, has devised a simple system that will enable
individuals to learn and read much faster, integrating study strategies that are the
basis of his original accelerated learning program. However, the needs attended to
are different.

\"In the corporate world, reading requirements are far different than those in
school. With a higher level of maturity, adult readers can draw on their mental
schema for knowledge while reading and being critical about what they are reading.
They don\'t need too many facts, they need more processes. They don\'t need to
memorize, they need to utilize. Imagine what would happen if you could take a book
that suits your purpose or has the information to solve your problems, and then
integrate all the knowledge there?\"

Managers who have to learn faster than their subordinates can use this method to
gather knowledge of various domains of learning including business, people
management, self-improvement, IT systems... basically most of the things required to
run a business effectively.

Is there any problem with this method? Apparently, the main issue is the command of
language, followed by technicality of the knowledge domain. The main reason is the
experience a person has in reading that particular category of material strengthens
one\'s mental map.

\"If your English is weak, then I can\'t ensure that you know the concepts well.
Therefore, it\'s imperative that you have a fairly good grasp of the language before
the training begins. If your language skills are poor, then you will need some
personalized language coaching. For technically dense subjects like law,
engineering, accounting and finance, mathematics and other similar subjects, you
obviously need more time to read it, because the way the knowledge is structured is
not the same as for general business. However, once you know how to read it, you
should be able to read that topic area much faster than a novice. I\'ll even show you
how technical subjects can be read in a non-technical way, so that beginners can
catch up much faster than before.\"

The Accelerated Whole-Brain Reading program is a jumpstart program that helps
individuals to enforce new rules for reading to help to develop better productivity
in learning. It is a two-day program, and is expected to launch very soon. Details
will be made available at www.stuarttan.com from April 2006.
