call charges. There is a one-off connection fee plus a service charge from £10 a
month but businesses pay no incoming call charges or any other extra charges. MD
Robin James comments: "Other providers will charge you for every incoming call. BT,
for example, will charge you over 4p a minute for every 0845 call you receive".

Planet Numbers offers a range of 0870 numbers too. These operate in the same way as
the 0845 numbers except that there is no monthly service fee. Businesses simply pay
a one-off connection fee (from £49 plus VAT).

MD James also promises rapid activation times: "We guarantee to have all 0845
numbers, 0870 numbers, 0800 numbers and 08000 numbers up and running within 24
hours".
