Released on = April 12, 2006, 2:55 pm

Press Release Author = Carole Spiers Group

Industry = Education

Press Release Summary = International Stress Guru Carole Spiers To Provide A
European Perspective On Work-Related Stress And Speak On It\'s Growing Threat in Asia
And The Middle East.

Press Release Body = Public Speaking Tour - Sponsored By Business Intelligence
Provider
IBN International - Includes May Dates In Kuala Lumpur And Dubai.

In the UK in 2005, for the first time ever, stress, anxiety and depression became
the number one cause of long-term sickness absence from work. As the prevailing
Euro-American work culture increasingly conflicts with local Asian tradition, this
is an outcome that many Asian and Middle Eastern businesses may therefore have to
face.

Carole Spiers, the UK\'s leading Stress Guru, will be visiting Dubai from 9th-15th
May and Kuala Lumpur from 17th-24th May 2006, to alert business leaders regarding
the serious threats posed by stress, and how these can be combated.

\"I\'m delighted that IBN have asked me to bring my European expertise as a leading
expert in Stress Management to their clients in Asia and the Middle East,\" says
Carole Spiers. \"I keep finding work-related problems caused by the same workplace
\'stressors\'. The accelerating pace of business is the most obvious stressor, but the
most often cited reasons for excessive pressure come from other causes.\"

Carole will be presenting her in-depth two-day workshops - \'Stress Management -
Learning from the European Business Experience\' in Dubai on 14th and 15th May, and
Kuala Lumpur on 17th and 18th May. By the end of the workshops, delegates will know
how to:

* Appreciate the full cost to industry of stress-related problems
* Identify those workplace pressures that develop into stress
* Develop resilience under pressure for their personal stress control
* Apply \'active listening\' as a key communication technique
* Source specialist stress counselling and training when needed

Carole will also be providing a keynote presentation to the Malaysian Association of
Professional Speakers in Kuala Lumpur on 23rd May. Details of this keynote
presentation and Carole\'s high profile workshops are available by email from
