Fries on the side fills tall order for sketch comedy

Released on = May 11, 2006, 4:57 pm

Press Release Author = Fries on the Side

Industry = Entertainment

Press Release Summary = Back by popular demand, Fries on the Side opens in May for
their 4th season of comedy

Press Release Body = HOLLYWOOD, CA - May 11, 2006 Due to popular demand, Fries on
the Side begins its 4th Season of tight-wire sketch comedy in May. Given the unique
task of creating a brand new, full-blown weekly comedy show, with less than two
hours to prepare, sketch comedy troupe Fries On The Side has established itself as a
home for the very best comic talents to perform in.
The highly anticipated 4th season draws momentum from recent sold out shows at San
Francisco's Sketchfest 2006, where Fries On The Side shared the stage with the
legendary comedian Dana Carvey. Shortly after, Santa Monica's new comedy hot spot,
The Westside Eclectic packed in loyal fans, both old and new.
Following up their live successes, Fries on the Side produced a wildly popular
digital short-film spoof entitled, "Brokeback Mountain Happy Meal."
Season 4 promises to serve up even tastier helpings of "chaos comedy" with comedians
such as Christopher Titus and Rick Overton returning to host regular season shows.
Each week Fries On The Side grows out of fresh, cutting-edge comedy from a core of
Staff Writers and a Main Cast, combined with a wild grab bag of material submitted
weekly through the company\'s website (www.FriesOnTheSide.com.) Add a live musical
act and a host comedian to the mix and it's one hour of unforgettable hilarity.

The excitement is palpable when less than two hours before showtime, the director,
writer and performers (some of whom may be performing for their very first time)
begin assembling the show.
Sketches are often even written on the day of the show. For audience members who
watch and think they can do better, they can get a chance to put their performance
where their mouth is the very next week at Fries On The Side.
Fries on the Side Season 4 runs from May 7th to October 2006. For current show
dates and times, visit the official Fries on the Side web site
(www.friesontheside.com) or call the information line, 323-319-5099. Tickets are
only $5.
