Press Release Body = Marathon World Champion and World Record Holder, Paula
Radcliffe will visit schools by helicopter across the UK on June 21 to launch the
world's biggest ever simultaneous walk or run - the Tesco Great School Run.

Organisers hope for a new Guinness World Record when an estimated 250,000 seven to
11 year-olds participate in a co-ordinated two-kilometre fun run at thousands of
schools across the UK and Ireland.

Three lucky schools will be joined by Paula who will take part in their fun run and
give some expert running tips.

Paula will be starting the day at Sherrier Church of England Primary School in
Lutterworth, Leicestershire, before flying back to her old school in Bedford,
Lincroft Middle School. Headteacher Mike Lavelle, said: "It will be absolutely
fantastic to see Paula at our school again.

"She is a real inspiration to the children and they are very excited about the visit
and really looking forward to the race."

Paula's last helicopter stop will take place at Donnington Primary School in North
West London.

Paula said: "The Tesco Great School Run is a terrific way to encourage more kids to
take part in sport and see the advantages of pursuing healthier outdoor activities.

"I'm delighted to see so many children have already signed up and I would like to
say good luck to all those taking part. I'm sure everyone will be trying their
best."

Debra Stones, Head of Corporate Responsibility at Tesco, added: \"We\'re delighted
that Paula is backing the Tesco Great School Run.

"We are thoroughly committed to involving more children in sport than ever. The run
is a great way of combining learning with a fun event and who knows, maybe the race
will show us some future stars just like Paula!

"Good luck to everyone taking part."
