author for Best Regional Fiction.

Press Release Body = Washington D.C. - Bradley T. Platt, author of Deadstream, won
an Honorable Mention Award for Great Lakes - Best Regional Fiction category. Platt,
born in Saginaw, Michigan in 1971 and graduated from Central Michigan University in
1994, was formally recognized May 19, 2006 at the National Museum of Women in the
Arts flanking with other victors of diverse categories. The purpose of the IPPY
Awards is to help deserving books and their messages reach a wider audience and to
get the attention they deserve.

Published November 2005, Deadstream, the first release of a trilogy, talks about a
man's struggle to get through life and how he deals with the muddled tension
bubbling beneath the surface of a rural place he calls home. Set in the 1980's,
Deadstream conveys an intense picture about the profundity and boundaries of the
human spirit.
