Listen, try it, you`ll like it!

Released on = July 12, 2006, 6:32 pm

Press Release Author = Ilan Bialer

Industry = Entertainment

Press Release Summary = Just what we\'ve been waiting for: Female jazz vocalist with
a twist, Tasha Wenger pops the cork on yesterday\'s standards, making everything old
new again.

Press Release Body = Native New Yorker Tasha Wenger rolls the dice, travels west to
follow a dream, picks up a few roles here and there and in the down time plays
saxophone with the old-timers in three LA big bands. Hey, the new girl can even
affect the glamour and sway of the old dames who made this music famous. From Helen
Forrest to Eartha Kitt she'd sing whatever you got, like the old Nelson Riddle
arrangements in Sinatra's key, but much more like Sammy, whenever and wherever you
needed it: Hotels, weddings, lounges, restaurants, clubs. Eventually, the girl gets
restless, cuts loose from the bands to go solo, creates her own sound.

Now, Ms. Wenger is back in New York, with her own jazz sound that she\'s eager to
feed to a new generation of listeners. Call it sultry, velvety, rich, or sexy, the
old standards have never sounded so fresh.

\"Every song I sing is a story I want to tell,\" Ms. Wenger explained to me after a
performance of one of the two one-woman shows she\'s written: \"The Tasha Show\", a
semi-autobiographical musical, and \"Stalker\" , based on the lyrics of Carl Sigman.

Tasha Wenger will be performing songs of love, loss, revenge with award winning
composer, arranger Emil Mijares on piano, songwriter, producer Ruben Ramos on bass,
and Tad McCully on drums.
