Poles apart, yet similar

Released on = July 6, 2006, 4:08 pm

Press Release Author = StressKill Services

Industry = Small Business

Press Release Summary = When Colourful Radio, a London-based digital radio station,
invited a Christian life coach to explain what Christian life coaching was all
about, and invited a Pagan coach, \'to give the programme balance\', they expected
fireworks. Instead, the two coaches found that they had more in common than kept
them apart.

Press Release Body = Stuart Nelson of StressKill Services, a stress management coach
and Christian life coach from Downham Market, has appeared, with Diana McKenzie, of
Bright Lives, in a radio interview on a live broadcast by the new London-based
digital radio station, Colourful Radio.

Every Monday, in a programme called Afternoon Delight, Colourful Radio features life
coaching and career counselling. The interview of Nelson and McKenzie was in this
series.

The purpose of the interview was to focus on spiritual coaching, Diana McKenzie
being a Pagan who runs workshops on meditation.

Nelson, who asserted that Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship,
explained that he coaches Christians and non-Christians. He added that, when he
coaches Christians, he often prays with his client at the start and finish of a
session. Much to the surprise of the interviewer, this was the only difference that
she was able to detect between the approaches of the two coaches.

He described his method of helping clients to build resilience to stress, while
controlling current stress with stress management techniques.

Nelson\'s speciality in stress management attracted a number of emails from
listeners, on the subject of stress, which he and McKenzie answered. One of the
emails concerned the use of hypnotherapy.

A recording of the interview can be heard in streaming audio, at
http://www.LifeCoaching4You.com, or the file can be downloaded for later listening.
