Dr Rich Meyer Joins AnaSpec to Lead Detection Reagents Division - Strengthens AnaSpec`s Product Applications Expertise

Press Release Summary = AnaSpec, a global provider of integrated proteomics
solutions, today announced that Dr. Rich Meyer has joined AnaSpec as Research and
Development Manager. In this position, Meyer is responsible for strengthening the
product development strategy of AnaSpec's detection reagents division. This will
involve optimizing the effectiveness of existing product lines as well as
identifying and developing novel product applications.

Press Release Body = Meyer joins AnaSpec from Invitrogen where he served as Director
of Global Chemistry and Acting Director of R&D for the Molecular Probes subsidiary.
Meyer's previous experience includes over 20 years of executive positions within the
biotech industry and 10 years as an independent academic investigator.

AnaSpec has developed an extensive base of products that cover a wide range of
research arenas. With Rich's intensive knowledge of the industry, AnaSpec is well

expanded range of applications."

Meyer has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed scientific papers and holds over 30
United States patents.
