Originally incorporated, on September 23, 1999, as a non-profit corporation in
Oklahoma and recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service, MIPT grew out of
the desire of the survivors and families of the Murrah Federal Building bombing of
April 19, 1995 to have a living memorial.

MIPT envisions a world in which terrorism is universally recognized as a tactic that
is repudiated, resisted and thereby reduced.
