The group founded by flutist Terry Ellen Christophersen and Romanian guitarist Mircea Trifan, acts as an independent artist not being affiliated with any production / distribution company.
Their music stems from traditional music of Eastern Europe including Romania and Hungary; traditional Celtic and classical music; all performed in an eclectic, exquisite and personal style, which ensures them a unique place within the multicultural fusion canvas of Quebec and Canada.
Valuri de Matase is now working on a new CD due to be released at the end of the 2006. Their new CD benefits from the cooperation with other exceptional musicians from Quebec, clarinet and vocal - while its content gravitates mainly around traditional Romanian music.
