that WDSGlobal has implemented a single instance of CODA e-Finance, CODA's
browser-based software, to meet country requirements for financial management and
reporting.
CODA e-Finance was chosen over competitive products following a thorough evaluation
because it could better handle global currency and reporting requirements.
Information will be shared across offices in the UK, Singapore, South Africa,
Australia and the United States. CODA consultants provided on-site support and the
software was up and running on time and within budget.
WDSGlobal is a global provider of knowledge-based services to mobile communications
operators, manufacturers, application providers and sales channels. Delivered via an
Integrated Service Framework and based on ten years of experience in the mobile data
marketplace, WDSGlobal services assist in every stage of the product lifecycle from
pre-launch problem migration through to specialist end user customer support.
Robert Hopkins, Group Financial Controller, at WDSGlobal said: "We undertook a full
software evaluation and CODA's was the only solution that met our cross-border
accounting requirements fully. For the first time, we will have an accurate,
browser-based view of how each office and territory is performing and we'll be able
to collate this management information into a real time business performance summary
using reporting tool CODA-XL and CODA browsers. The idea is that country managers
will be able to use this information to their advantage and make more informed
decisions for the benefit of the business as a whole."
WDSGlobal will be using CODA e-Procurement for secure online procurement. The
different document types together with workflow designs based on the company\'s
levels of authority will provide an efficient web based approval process for
purchasing. Integration with CODA e-Finance will ensure seamless accounting
functionality.
WDSGlobal will be running the CODA system in a Microsoft Windows environment with a
Microsoft SQL Server database.
