Press Release Body = Launched in August of 1998, DeepCreekCam was, and still is, Garrett County\'s first website dedicated to bringing live web cam images to your computer. Eight years later, DCC has simplified it's user interface and offers local web cam images, local weather conditions and forecasts, and local news on one easy to use site.
DeepCreekCam researches all available Oakland, McHenry, and Deep Creek Lake area web cams and only brings you the ones that are constantly online and those that have professional quality refreshin or streaming images. Many of the images include those found on the Wisp Resort Ski area lift towers. These images blanket the mountain, much like the snow does in the winter time, providing a unique look at the activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Other images include streaming images offered by two cameras located at the Honi-honi Bar off of Rt. 219. Other images are rotated in and out as the seasons, quality or reliability change.
Weather is very important to any resort community. DeepCreekCam pulls weather information from the most accurate and reliable sources available. Current Conditions and a three day forecast are always available and periodically updated through XML data feeds. DCC even offers an audio version of the current conditions and three day forecast.
