Press Release Body = Delphi Academy of Florida student Winston McDaniel, 13, of

Winston was honored along with his fellow scouts of Troop 313 in a ceremony at the

Winston takes an active leadership role as Troop 313's Senior Patrol Leader. He
joined when he was 6 years old as a Cub Scout. He then moved on to become a Boy

In order to earn the rank of Life Scout, scouts have to be active in their troop for

in a service project requiring at least six hours of work, actively serve in a

of review.

Winston earned six merit badges over the summer: Reading, Citizenship in the Nation,

Winston is looking forward to achieving his Eagle Scout status within the next six
months. To earn the Eagle Scout rank, a Boy Scout must fulfill requirements in the
areas of leadership, service and outdoor skills.
