Stellar Call Centres supports the Victorian Electoral Commission

Released on = October 9, 2006, 4:54 pm

Press Release Author = Stellar Call Centres

Industry = Government

Press Release Summary = Stellar Call Centres, one of Australia's leading call centre
outsourcing providers, today announced that the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC)
has appointed Stellar to establish the 70-seat Telephone Enquiry Services Centre to
support the 2006 Victorian State Election.

Press Release Body = The VEC chose Stellar Call Centres after a comprehensive tender
process. Important factors in the selection process included Stellar's demonstrated
experience managing sensitive Government projects, their proven ability to recruit,
train and manage Victorian-based agents and a strong geographical knowledge of the
State.

The VEC needed an experienced specialist outsourcing partner who could ensure the
effective delivery and management of this high-profile call centre project, as well
as effectively managing mail fulfilment, such as enrolment forms, postal vote
applications and candidate handbooks.

The Telephone Enquiry Services Centre is a critical channel for engaging the
Victorian public in the election process, and is a highly visible component of the
Government's interactions with the public for the State election, which takes place
on the 25th November.

"Government departments face increasing pressure to satisfy customer demand with
quicker and more efficient customer services, while also reducing costs," said Steve
Morphett, Chief Executive Officer of Stellar Call Centres. "Stellar understands the
unique challenges that government departments face, and can significantly improve
efficiency, quality levels and customer satisfaction through the combination of our
call centre and business process outsourcing solutions".
