Press Release Summary = Dwdws.com Wales Business Search; Submission free until February, 2007
Press Release Body = Since its launch in summer 2006, the Welsh business directory Dwdws.com has introduced additional search facilities, and plans further developments to the service. The free listings initially offered onto the Dwdws.com directory will give way to an annual fee as from early next year.
All businesses currently on Dwdws.com will not be charged in the future, neither will any businesses that submit for free until early next year, when submissions will then be charged. Following this, a one-off fee of £45 will be applicable. There are 650 businesses currently listed on the directory.
Dylan Thomas, founder of Dwdws.com, told Ping Wales: "The reason for this change is due mainly to the fact that if we are to develop Dwdws.com as we envisage, then we must consider various revenue options. We would also like to encourage any businesses to submit now, whilst it is free.
"In parallel to this, we will be providing an additional service, which we aim to call PopPage. Though the exact details of this service have yet to be finalised, we can reveal that it will allow business to further promote their businesses online in a more individual and unique way."
Thomas adds: "The submission pages now allow businesses to submit further business details, such as under which category the business belongs to. We also provide the facility for businesses to specify in which language their website is [presented], as well as in which language the business provides their services. In time this will allow people to search for a Wales-based business according to their language preferences."
All submissions onto Dwdws.com are now translated automatically by Dwdws, in-house. However, businesses will still be able to submit bilingually themselves.
Dwdws.com plans to provide additional offers to encourage business to consider getting a website for their businesses. Forthcoming services include hosting services, offering a Windows and Linux solution for businesses, domain name registration, where people will be able to register most TLDs, and search engine optimisation.
