Grapheety.comŽ Official Release and Direction for 2007
Minneapolis developers look to take over the world-or maybe just make it a little
more user friendly.

Minneapolis (December 20, 2006) - GrapheetyT, a Minneapolis based company has
unveiled an official release of their social networking site aptly titled GrapheetyT
locatable at the domain grapheety.com.
Grapheety.com development began earlier this year when developer and tech guru Gavin
Quinn enlisted the help of software engineers Brett Astleford, Nick Meverden, and
creative genius Jonathon Ortlieb to begin construction of a website that would allow
the world to GeoBlog by posting Tags on a web interface that looks like a
traditional map on steroids. After the beta release in mid September there was a
really hard push to ramp up the features and unveil a working product before the New
Year.
The official public release went online early Sunday morning after working late into
the night Saturday. The release kick-off was accompanied by a treasure hunt of
sorts. All current and new users were invited to join a race around the world where
each Tag on the map had a clue that sent you off in search of the next. The winner
Jeff Stene received an iPod Nano and said, "I think I\'ve put about 10-15 hours into
this. Finally, I can sleep again! The treasure hunt was so much fun, it should be
illegal!" GrapheetyT is planning another treasure hunt for the New Year as well as
more features, more functionality, and most importantly, more fun.
New features for the New Year will include ability to embed video in Tags, increased
social networking capabilities, mobile integration, and hopefully a story and
picture/video for every spot on the map, but that's going to take a whole lot of
users. To expand the reach of GrapheetyT and expand the user base, plug-in modules
for Myspace and Facebook are in the works as well as a whole bin of ideas for
advertising, traditional and guerilla.
2007 is going to be about discovery, not just people discovering GrapheetyT but
people using GrapheetyT to discover the world around them.
