McCormick - Hickory Knob State Resort Park in South Carolina is offering its first weekend golf special just for women.
Hickory Knob Ladies Golf Weekend 2007 will be held March 23-25 and feature clinics, a tournament, reception, meals and a variety of accommodation packages at the full-facility resort park on Lake Thurmond.
Instructors include golf pros from the South Carolina State Park Service championship golf courses at Hickory Knob, Cheraw State Park and Joe Stevens, head golf pro at Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms, SC.
Classes will be tailored to the golfers' skill levels, and players of all levels are invited. Clinics will focus on chipping, putting, driving, the short game and even golf lingo. Prices range from $150 for instructions, meals and functions with no lodging to $300 per person for instructions, meals, functions and a single-occupancy lodge room.
The lakefront golf course opened at the South Carolina Park near McCormick in 1982. Hickory Knob State Resort Park also offers meeting facilities, cabins, camping, a full-service restaurant, tennis, boat ramp, biking and hiking trails and shooting and archery ranges.
