Teacher Writes Book to Help Prospective Teachers Stay in Education

Released on = December 3, 2006, 7:11 pm

Press Release Author = Carol Ann / Silver Crown Publishing

Industry = Education

Press Release Summary = What happens when a new teacher is accused of being out of
the classroom too much, how should male teachers protect themselves, or why are so
many teachers being fired?

Award-winning journalist and beloved educator answers these questions and more in
the Teacher's Survival Guide.Learn the ABC's of Protecting Yourself Before You Are
in a Hostile Environment.

Press Release Body = Dallas TX, (December 4, 2006) - Seeking to change the number of
teachers leaving the professions, Lisa Chappell has written a book to help
prospective teachers get step-by-step instructions on how to handle their first
years of teaching.

Every year over 200,000 teaching positions have to be filled, because teachers are
leaving the classroom at an alarming rate.

"The first few years are a learning experience, but it doesn\'t have to be a bad
learning experience," said Chappell. "This book helps answer a lot of questions that
teachers have on a daily basis."

Many teachers find themselves doing what they believe to be right, but somehow they
find themselves in the principal's office, surprised and confused. It doesn't take
much to be placed on a probation list.

This book is the ultimate guide for good teachers who want to be successful,
effective and protected.

Chappell will be traveling around the country speaking at several universities
helping education students, who are graduating, prepare to enter the teaching arena.
