Released on = January 23, 2007, 12:15 pm

Press Release Author = Ben Yoskovitz/ Grasshopper New Media

Industry = Healthcare

Press Release Summary = Since the bankruptcy of Atkins Nutritionals in 2005,
Low-Carbohydrate diets have \"snuck in the back door\" to become a major part of the
mainstream of contemporary weight-loss plans.

Press Release Body = FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, 01/23/2007:

Low-Carbohydrate Is Now The Mainstream of Dieting

Jimmy Moore, the voice behind The Livin\' La Vida Low-Carb Show
(http://www.thelivinlowcarbshow.com), has noted that the Low-Carb lifestyle has gone
mainstream, despite the 2005 bankruptcy of Atkins Nutritionals. The majority of
popular diets today acknowledge the importance of moderating the intake of sugar and
starches, and limiting the \"glycemic load\" we put on our bodies.

Diets such as the South Beach Diet, the Zone, Protein Power and many more limit the
amount of \"bad carbohydrates\" allowed, in favor of healthier alternatives such as
more nutritious vegetables, whole grains, protein and even heart-healthy fats such
as olive oil and certain kinds of fish.

Mr. Moore said, \"It\'s amazing how many people are becoming aware of the problem with
eating too much sugar and excessive refined carbohydrates as it relates not only to
their weight, but also to their health with diseases like metabolic syndrome,
diabetes, and cancer, among others.\"

He also noted, \"This awareness of the dangers of eating too many carbs and the
consequences of doing so is more prevalent than it was just a few years ago when the
\'low-carb craze\' was allegedly at its height.\"

After losing nearly 200 pounds in 2004 on the Atkins diet, Jimmy Moore has since
become a popular voice of defense and advocacy for the low-carb lifestyle. His web
blog Livin\' La Vida Low-Carb (www.livinlavidalowcarb.com) was recently named a Top
10 Health blog by Fox News.

In addition to his blog and autobiographical book about his weight loss experience
entitled Livin\' La Vida Low-Carb: My Journey From Flabby Fat To Sensationally Skinny
In One Year, Jimmy Moore started a new podcast about the low-carb lifestyle in
October 2006.

Consistently in iTunes\' Top 20 Self-Help Health podcasts, the Livin\' La Vida
Low-Carb Show attracts nearly 3,000 listeners every week. It is one of the flagship
podcasts at GNMHealth (http://www.gnmhealth.com), a part of the Grasshopper New
Media podcast network.

New episodes of The Livin\' La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore are available for
download or streaming from the Web, each Monday morning.
