In the Philippines, the flower shop industry is perhaps one of the most ignored yet
still important industries in the Philippines. Flowers are not a staple, everyday
gift as they are in other countries. Filipinos give and deliver flowers only by
season or occasion, which includes among the few, birthdays, graduations, All Saints
Day, and the time we are in right now--the holidays. Jerry, like any other flower
shop owner, hopes to change all that. Which is why, for Filipinos living abroad, to
go out of one's way just to deliver flowers to the Philippines is always a
well-appreciated effort. Be it a woman receiving flowers or giving them.
For the men out there not used to being pampered, they better watch out. Valentines
is fast approaching.
