Xlibris Publishes A Compilation Of Magnificent Poetry

Released on = January 25, 2007, 1:13 am

Press Release Author = Xlibris Corporation

Industry = Entertainment

Press Release Summary = Discourse by Walter de las Casas is a collection of
brilliant poems on issues that deal with life, love, women, education and politics.

Press Release Body = Each page of the book overflows with rich, compelling lexis,
embarking upon human emotions, experiences, education, and politics. This
compilation contains poems about the Caribbean, New York City, Miami, Mississippi
and New Jersey. It deals with being tired of the American empire whose citizens are
loaded with work, about public school administration and its deleterious effect on
education, about the royal and political aspects of England, and about the puzzling
Cold War. The book closes with an expressive poem about a brief but intense love
relationship.

About the Author

Walter de las Casas was born in Havana, Cuba. He started writing poetry during his
junior year at Iona College, New Rochelle, where he earned his BA with cum laude
honors in French and Spanish. His first English book was Tributes, followed by
Discourse Huma, and Hojas dispersas. De las Casas currently resides in Brooklyn,
New York.
