The absolutely free site is administered by Shane Lee a local mortgage advisor who created the online community to meet and network with other real estate industry professionals. \"I plan to keep the garbage out. I want to keep it family friendly, free of pornography, and inappropriate content,\" says Shane.
No large marketing campaigns are planned to get the word out. Local press has shown an interest and is spreading the word in local papers throughout North Georgia. The focus is on word-of-mouth advertising. The hand full of members have arrived by this only.
The network will be ad supported to cover overhead costs and administrative costs to keep the flagged content under control as the network grows. NetworkGeorgia.com will be a huge success with only 2,000 members, but the growth projected is in the tens of thousands by summer of 2007. Shane explains, \"I didn\'t build the network to get rich. I thought it would be a good idea and everyone I shared my vision of a local social network with was excited to be a part of it, so I built it.\"
Only time will tell how big the local social network will grow, but since the launch, 4,997 page views says it may be something.
