David Shakes Up Industry Goliath

Industry = Transportation & Logistics

Press Release Summary = Brandedmedia is launching a new business Brandedmailing)
this week in the UK and Sweden that is set to ruffle the feathers of the ‘big boys’
in the mail fulfilment and distribution industry.

Press Release Body = A small company is launching a new business this week in the UK
and Sweden that is set to ruffle the feathers of the ‘big boys’ in the mail
fulfilment and distribution industry. Brandedmailing has been created by
Brandedmedia whose 2,300 strong client base already includes household brands such
as BBC, Blockbuster, Centre Parcs, Ocean Village, Paul McKenna, The AA and Virgin
Media.

The launch follows research conducted amongst Brandedmedia’s clients which shows
that 68 per cent had been frustrated by their suppliers’ poor attention to detail in
creating finished product for mail campaigns. A further 76 per cent cited poor
customer service as a frustration, coupled with 53 per cent who had tested the
integrity of their suppliers’ data to discover duplicates and misspellings – 26 per
cent had never done this and were therefore unaware of the reliability of data
cleansing services.

“The feedback I’ve received from some of my clients over the last few years is that
the mail and distribution industry seems to have become complacent. Clients
complain about poor customer service, an inability to think ahead, dirty storage
facilities, poorly constructed product and missed deadlines. We may seem small but
I believe that what we will be offering with brandedmailing will shake up quite a
stagnant market,” said Sean Fergusson, managing director of Brandedmedia.

Brandedmedia was created four years ago as a CD and DVD replication business. Since
then it has grown into a £4.5million company and over time has extended its in-house
services to meet client demand for fulfilment, storage and distribution.

Attention to detail and excellent customer service are the two main gripes that
Brandedmedia\'s clients raised in the survey. Of particular concern was mailing
poorly produced products that, along with delivery duplication, could have a
detrimental impact on brand whilst pushing up campaign costs.

“We saw an opportunity to shake up the industry. What is currently accepted as the
norm really isn’t an acceptable way to do business but, it would appear people who
need these services have little choice. As we were progressively extending our
offering to meet client demand, it seemed the right time to create a dedicated
business to focus on mail and distribution with a difference,” continued Fergusson.

Brandedmailing’s services will include:
 Direct mail – design, print and distribution
 Printing – of all promotional material from bespoke packaging to mail shots
 Fulfilment – automate or hand pack mail components of 250,000 plus per 24
hours
 Data management – including cleansing data to reduce the cost of postal
campaigns
 Storage – of any promotional items for distribution across the UK
 Distribution – by courier and freight for receipt and dispatch of 250
pallets daily.
 Dedicated account manager – genuinely so. Clients will always speak to the
same person at brandedmailing who will have built a relationship with and
understanding of their client\'s needs and business pressures.
