When the affiliates login,they\'ll be given a website link to send traffic or people to, via advertising and this link will have unique information that will track how many people that specific affiliate sent to the site, how many sales or lead signups were generated via their efforts etc.
Affiliate programs are all over the net and the rates they payout, vary wildly from as little as 2% to as much as 75% and some even pay for each affiliate recruited under the first affiliate.
Affiliate Marketing is no longer strictly the domain of the computer nerds, Major Fortune 500 companies from Disney to Walmart to Dell and even porn sites have all jumped into this multi-billion dollar industry.
