Geocoin news site helps buyers find the cache

Released on = April 23, 2007, 9:57 am

Press Release Author = Media Netrix

Industry = Media

Press Release Summary = Cachebug website helping to expand geocoin collecting.

Press Release Body = BOISE, Idaho - With geocoin popularity exploding, buyers are
looking for places other than Ebay to find the coins. Geocoins were designed to be
a part of Geocaching, an activity were people find hidden containers from GPS
coordinates found on geocaching.com. The geocoins are coins, but each have unique
"tracking numbers" that can be registered with the geocaching website and tracked as
they travel from geocache to geocache.
"The Cachebug was designed to be a place to connect geocachers to the coins," said
Sergio Brown founder of the website cachebug.com, "when I got into geocoins it was
almost impossible to find where they were being sold, so I made the site to help
people find them."
The Cachebug has links to all of the geocoin vendors as well as commentary on all of
the latest coin releases. Recently The Cachebug has added The Cachebug Forum for
people to list and sell their coins for free. "My goal is to get everyone into
geocoins because they are one of the coolest things that nobody knows about," said
Mr. Brown. "When they get as popular as stamps, I'll be happy."
The Cachebug started last year and has quickly become a regular stop for geocoin
collectors. The website is free and promotes the latest geocoins. Everyone is
welcome to visit and participate.
