New online tool enables people to send their dreams in the future

Released on = April 24, 2007, 2:32 pm

Press Release Author = Sarah Moore / Dreaminder

Industry = Internet & Online

Press Release Summary = Dreaminder is a new website that enables people to write
down their dreams and send them to themselves in the future.

Press Release Body = Austin, Texas, April 24, 2007 Dreaminder is a new website
that enables people to write down their dreams and send them to themselves in the
future. This free service aims to help people to find direction in life and remind
them of their goals.

Dreaminder gives tips on how to formulate dreams and provides a Dream Wizard to give
guidance to people who don\'t know what they want to do with their lives. After the
users finish writing down their dreams, they can choose dates when they want to be
reminded of their goals. On the dates users specify, they will receive their dreams
in their inbox. At that point, they have the opportunity to compare the life they
live with their dreams and see how far they\'ve come.

The website includes features for organizations that are dedicated to developing
people. Interested parties can sign up as affiliates and invite their members to
write down their dreams. They can monitor which participants have completed their
dreams, while keeping the content of the dreams hidden and confidential to the
participants.
The purpose of this feature is to serve organizations who are dedicated to personal
development. School counselors and teachers have also used the feature to give
assignments to students.

\"I\'ve participated in many visualization exercises as part of leadership retreats\",
says Sarah Moore, co-founder of Dreaminder. \"I found the exercises useful and I
thought it could reach so many more people if it were paperless, free and on the
internet.\"

The option to publish dreams anonymously allows visitors of the website to read
other people\'s dreams and contact those with similar ideas. During the test period
in the beginning of this year over 700 dreams were published on the website in
various languages.

\"The main idea behind Dreaminder is to offer a place for people where they can
reflect on their life, think of their dreams and write them down,\" added Moore. \"It
is more important than ever to think of the direction for your life to avoid getting
stuck in the rat race.\"
