after their \'Ancient India\' Toronto Yoga Conference concert with South Asian
Canadian activist Raoul Juneja and actress Rishma Malik, April 28th at the Metro
Toronto Convention Centre.

The four-day Yoga Conference offered more than 126 workshops, classes,
demonstrations and seminars featuring hands-on training from 43 world-renowned
instructors for a variety of ages. In addition to Grammy-nominated musician Jai
Uttal and soprano pianist Tina Malia, the conference also featured Wade Morissette
(the India-raised brother of Canadian music icon Alanis Morissette) and Gurmukh Kaur
Khalsa (Hollywood\'s most celebrated yoga teacher, whose past students have included
Madonna, Al Pacino and Cindy Crawford among others).

Also in attendance was Rishma Malik, a yoga instructor, singer and actress whose
past film appearances include Deepa Mehta\'s \"Bollywood Hollywood\" and \"Water\"
productions. Rishma\'s new music video, \"The Meeting Rivers\", also features colourful
visual elements touching on her yoga background.

Raised in New York City, Jai Uttal moved to California at the age of 19 to become a
vocal and instrument student of Indian music legend Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, before
traveling to India and developing his style under the training of Indian guru Shri
Neem Karoli Baba and the influence of the wandering street musicians of Bengal.
Having since toured a variety of diverse locations from Brazil to Israel, Jai has
released over nine albums including 2002\'s Grammy-nominated \"Mondo Rama\".
