Press Release Body = Whilst the warm summer weather is a welcome relief for most of
us, it can be a nightmare for contact lens wearers who suffer from seasonal allergic
conjunctivitis (or hay fever eyes).

Hay fever eyes are caused by an allergic reaction to tree and grass pollen that
builds up during the warmer months. It causes misery for those affected making their
eyes itchy, red and sore.

The 20-20 Optical Store, London's award winning optician, has put together the
following guidelines to help contact lens wearers who suffer from this miserable
summer 'disease'.

1. Try not to wear your contact lenses while gardening to prevent pollen from
getting into your eyes.

2. You might want to think about using lubricating eye drops (remember to seek
professional advice before buying drops or other medication).

3. On days when the pollen count is very high, try wearing glasses instead of your
lenses.

4. Think about cutting down the amount of time that you wear your lenses each day.

5. Never remove your contact lenses and rinse them under the tap to try and remove
dust or pollen from them.

6. Avoid sunbathing in your lenses and make sure that you don't get any suntan
lotion on them.

7. Stop wearing your contacts if your eyes get sore.
