KISSCAFE AND RENDEZVOUS CLUB BREAK SPEED DATING WORLD RECORD

Press Release Body = Kisscafe, a Vancouver based online dating website, recently partnered with Rendezvous Club, a speed dating and singles event planner, to successful set a new world record for speed dating. With 100 men and 100 women in attendance at the Plaza Club on March 21, 2007, the record was set by completing 100 dates in 100 minutes. The evening of speed dating was rounded out with $15,000 worth of prizes and an afterparty. Tickets to the sold out event were $45.99 and included complimentary drinks, and appetizers.
During the event, the women were seated at tables, while each minute the men circulated around the room. The 200 singles in attendance, aged 25-40, had sixty seconds to meet, chat, and impress each of their dates. At the end of the 100 minutes, the world record had been set and the evening hailed as a great success for all who participated, as well as both the Rendezvous Club and Kisscafe.
The speed dating event was one of the first in-person singles events sponsored by the online dating website and was an opportunity to bring singles together for face to face meetings. Following the success of the speed dating event, Kisscafe and Rendezvous Club have partnered regularly for more speed dating events. The partnership hosts one speed dating event every two weeks, for singles between the ages of 19 and 25.
